THE CHALLENGE
The activewear market is polarized. On one side—performance culture and the idealized "That Girl" aesthetic. On the other—soft body positivity messaging that often sacrifices desirability for inclusivity. Most brands land in one camp or the other, and both have a ceiling. The founder of Shapes & Stories had a more ambitious vision: a brand that didn't ask women to choose between feeling inspired and feeling seen. But building an identity that could hold both without falling into cliché—that was the real design challenge.
THE RESULT
The final identity gives Shapes & Stories a distinct place in the activewear space. It balances premium, modern aesthetics with warm, human details to create a brand that feels both aspirational and approachable. The flexible visual system works seamlessly across apparel, packaging, social media, and future product lines while staying true to the brand's core idea: every body has a story.
